ERPNext Hosting Cost: Frappe Cloud vs Self-Hosted vs Partner-Managed (2026)
ERPNext hosting cost starts at ₹410 a month on Frappe Cloud's smallest shared plan. Most growing businesses land between about ₹2,000 and ₹6,000 a month for managed hosting, or a similar server bill when self-hosting plus the cost of someone to run it.
The cheapest option on paper is rarely the cheapest in practice. This guide compares Frappe Cloud, self-hosting and partner-managed hosting with current published prices, and shows what each one really includes.
Who this is for: owners, finance heads and IT managers of ERPNext users or evaluators in India (including Kozhikode and Kerala) and the GCC: the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah), Qatar (Doha), Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman (Muscat). Typical size is 5 to 200 users, already live or about to go live.
Key takeaways
- Frappe Cloud shared plans cost ₹410, ₹820, ₹2,050, ₹3,075 and ₹4,100 a month, with no user limit but a daily CPU-time limit.
- Only the ₹2,050+ plans include offsite backups and private benches (needed for custom apps). Only the ₹4,100 plan includes Frappe's product bug-fix support.
- Self-hosting looks cheap (a 4 GB cloud server lists at about $24 a month), but published estimates put part-time server administration at ₹15,000–₹40,000 a month.
- Partner-managed hosting bundles the server with monitoring, upgrades and support. It suits teams with custom apps and no in-house DevOps.
- In the GCC, pick a hosting region that meets your data rules. Frappe Cloud runs mainly on AWS, with some servers in Saudi Arabia.

The three ways to host ERPNext
| Option | Who runs the server | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Frappe Cloud | Frappe, the company behind ERPNext | Most SMEs, especially with standard or lightly customised ERPNext |
| Self-hosted | Your own IT team, on AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure or an office server | Companies with in-house Linux and database skills |
| Partner-managed | Your ERPNext partner, on a cloud server in your name or theirs | Businesses with custom apps that want one team responsible for both software and server |

Frappe Cloud pricing in India (2026)
Frappe Cloud publishes its shared hosting plans in rupees. Each plan is one site that can run multiple apps (ERPNext, Frappe HR, CRM and so on):
| Monthly price | CPU time per day | Database | Storage | Extra features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹410 | 0.5 hours | 0.2 GB | 2.5 GB | Automated upgrades and daily backups |
| ₹820 | 1 hour | 0.5 GB | 5 GB | As above |
| ₹2,050 | 2 hours | 1 GB | 25 GB | Adds offsite backups and private benches for custom apps |
| ₹3,075 | 3 hours | 1.5 GB | 37.5 GB | Adds database and SSH access |
| ₹4,100 | 4 hours | 2 GB | 50 GB | Adds Frappe support (bug fixes for ERPNext, Frappe HR and the framework) |
Frappe says there is no per-user limit on these plans. The limit is CPU time per day, so a busy site with many users may slow down when it hits the cap.
Check current plans on the official Frappe Cloud shared hosting page. Prices are as listed; check your invoice for any taxes added.
Frappe Cloud server plans
When one shared site is not enough, you move to a server.
Frappe's pages list server plans from about ₹1,800 a month on a budget provider with limited uptime guarantees, and from about ₹5,400 a month on premium providers with stronger reliability and features such as snapshots. Its dedicated hosting plans, which include separate application and database servers, start at ₹6,000 a month. A server can host many sites and benches for no extra cost.
ERPNext self-hosting cost: the server is the small part
ERPNext is open source, so you can install it on any Linux server, and the server itself is affordable. For example, DigitalOcean lists a basic 2 vCPU / 4 GB droplet at $24 a month and a 4 vCPU / 8 GB droplet at $48 a month. Published Indian estimates put total self-hosting at roughly ₹2,000–₹15,000 a month for infrastructure.
The real cost is the work around it:
- Setup and hardening: installation, SSL, firewall, email delivery and a proper backup routine.
- Upgrades: ERPNext releases updates regularly. Major version upgrades need testing, especially with custom apps.
- Monitoring and recovery: someone must notice and fix a full disk, a stuck background job or a failed backup.
- GST API credits: on a self-hosted site, the India Compliance app's e-invoice and e-way bill APIs run on paid credits (₹0.50 each for the first 10,000). On Frappe Cloud they are included.
Published estimates put part-time server administration at ₹15,000–₹40,000 a month. Our posts on how to back up and restore ERPNext properly and common ERPNext server issues show what this work involves.

Partner-managed ERPNext hosting
In a partner-managed setup, your implementation partner runs the server, either on Frappe Cloud or on a cloud account. You get one team responsible for the application and the infrastructure. A good arrangement includes:
- Monitoring and alerts for uptime, disk and background jobs.
- Offsite backups with restore tests, not just backup files.
- Planned upgrades tested on a staging copy before they reach your live site.
- Clear ownership: your data and server access stay in your name, so you can move later.
Partners price this per project, often bundled with support. Our ERPNext support and hosting services page explains what we cover.

ERPNext hosting in the GCC: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman
GCC businesses ask two hosting questions: where the data lives and how fast the system feels from the office.
- Region choice: Frappe Cloud runs mainly on AWS EC2, with a few servers on Oracle Cloud in Saudi Arabia, and offers data-centre locations across 10 countries.
- Data rules: regulated sectors such as healthcare, finance and government suppliers may have local data residency requirements. Confirm yours before choosing a region.
- Latency: host close to your users. A server in the Gulf or India usually serves Dubai, Riyadh and Doha offices better than one in Europe or the US.
Whichever you choose, keep backups in a second location and document who can access the server.
How to choose: a quick checklist
- Do you have custom apps? If yes, you need at least a private bench (₹2,050+ on Frappe Cloud) or your own server.
- Who will handle upgrades and failures at 9 pm? If nobody in-house, avoid pure self-hosting.
- Do you need SSH or database access for reporting tools? That starts at the ₹3,075 plan.
- Where must your data live? Choose the region first, then the plan.
- Have you tested a restore? A backup you have never restored is not a backup.

Frequently asked questions
How much does ERPNext hosting cost per month?
On Frappe Cloud, shared ERPNext hosting costs ₹410, ₹820, ₹2,050, ₹3,075 or ₹4,100 a month. Server plans start at roughly ₹1,800–₹5,400 a month depending on provider, and dedicated plans from ₹6,000. Self-hosting costs a few thousand rupees a month for the server plus someone to manage it.
Is Frappe Cloud cheaper than self-hosting ERPNext?
For most SMEs, yes, once you count people. A cloud server can cost as little as $24 a month, but published estimates put part-time server administration at ₹15,000–₹40,000 a month. Frappe Cloud includes upgrades, backups and monitoring, and bundles GST API credits that self-hosted sites must buy.
Does Frappe Cloud charge per user?
No. Frappe Cloud shared plans have no per-user limit, only a daily CPU-time allowance, from 0.5 hours on the ₹410 plan to 4 hours on the ₹4,100 plan. A busy site may slow down if it reaches the limit, which is the signal to upgrade.
Which Frappe Cloud plan do I need for custom apps?
Custom Frappe apps need a private bench, which Frappe Cloud includes from the ₹2,050 per month shared plan upward, or on any server plan. The ₹2,050 plan also adds offsite backups. Database and SSH access start at ₹3,075, and Frappe's bug-fix support at ₹4,100.
Can I host ERPNext in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Frappe Cloud runs mainly on AWS and has some servers on Oracle Cloud in Saudi Arabia, with locations across 10 countries. You can also self-host or use a partner-managed server in your preferred region across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman.
What is partner-managed ERPNext hosting?
Your implementation partner runs the server, on Frappe Cloud or a cloud account, and handles monitoring, backups, upgrades and fixes alongside application support. It suits businesses with custom apps and no in-house DevOps. Make sure the server and data stay in your name so you can move later.
